A Bulgarian woman changes american fashion concepts

During the “Mrs Globe 2005” competition, which took place in Palm Springs, California from 16th to 25th July, Virginia Zdravkova (winner of Golden needle award for best designer in 2003) once again achieved remarkable success as official designer of the event. The talented Bulgarian woman was presented to the prominent public with video and photo materials and she personally received the ovation of all eminent guests of the competition. The designer herself was part from the jury. At the last day of the event, the hosts organized her own review on the boat of an ultramodern yacht in New Port Beach in the presence of famous people, where Virginia Zdravkova gave autographs to Kevin Kostner and John Wayne’s wife.

All competitors from the initial tours wore “Virginia shoes” and the finalists was dressed in Virginia Zdravkova’s evening dresses. Most of the apparel are from the newest collection of the designer – autumn – winter 2005/ 2006 and some of it is made especially for the competition. The event took place together with “Mrs USA”. Traditionally, American women avoid wearing green apparel, but the exclusive green dresses which Virginia proposed fascinated the finalists from USA and Venezuela and they are heralds of the newest fashion tendencies in their countries. The winner in “Mrs Globe 2005” competition is “Mrs Venezuela” Rosa Terezio, lawyer, who has two children.

Most of the dresses in the competition were in brown, green, cyclamen, reseda, silver or gold. The line is simple, stressing the curves of the woman’s body. Virginia launches a new vision – dresses, which upper part fits tight the body, combined with a flared crinoline skirt. Swarovski crystals, jewels, sequins, glittering fibres and manual embroidery are the accents of the dresses.

The dress of Radostina Hadjiivanova – “Mrs Bulgaria 2004”, made of silver taffeta, heaped on sequins made big impression to the attendants. The Bulgarian competitor won the special award for most photogenic face.

The famous photographer Carlos Sol chose “Mrs India”, “Mrs Utah” and “Mrs Bulgaria” for a special session. Carlos takes pictures for famous american fashion editions. During the “Star evening”, wneh everyone is dressed as princess and takes part in different nomination, Virginia Zdravkova had the honour of bestowing the price of most harmonical body on “Mrs West Coast”.

“Mrs India” – a famous Indian actress, showed great interst towards the work of Virginia Zdravkova and expressed her desire to wear Virginia Zdravkova’s dresses in some in her movies, made in Bollywood, India. “Mrs Israel”, who is a TV journalists showed her decision to broadcast a film for the Bulgarian designer on the Israeli TV station. During the inner casting, some of the competitors especially bought dresses from the official designer by Internet. “Mrs USA” Anjelina Butler, who is a famous American singer, ordered to Virginia her stage apparel.

“ It’s a great honour to me that famous foreign celebrities want to command the services of “Virginia atelier” for future events, including the Oscar-ceremony” shares the excited designer.
